The computer age has brought great changes in the medical and dental fields with the advancement of digital radiography. Because of this advancement, radiation exposure is vastly reduced during the taking of x-rays. Also, doctor's are now able to see a sharp detailed x-ray within seconds on a computer screen.
The ability to access these digital x-rays in any exam room allows the doctor to view them alongside the patient quickly and comfortably. This allows for more clear and thorough instruction as diagnosis and treatment options are being discussed.
